This page documents the verbal SMS opt-in disclosure that Voniq's AI voice agent reads to every caller during inbound calls handled on behalf of subscribing businesses. It exists as a publicly hosted artifact for messaging providers (Twilio, etc.) reviewing our toll-free and A2P 10DLC verifications, since Voniq collects SMS consent verbally during a phone call rather than through a web form.
During every inbound call handled by the Voniq AI voice agent, the following disclosure is spoken to the caller before any SMS is sent:
“Before we wrap up, I'd like to let you know that [Business Name] may send you a text message with a summary of this call, appointment confirmation, or follow-up information. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out. Is that okay?”
The caller's verbal “yes” (or equivalent affirmative) is recorded, transcribed, and stored alongside the call record. If the caller declines or does not affirmatively consent, no SMS is sent.
Mobile opt-in data, phone numbers, and any information collected via SMS consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes under any circumstances. Voniq does not sell, rent, or disclose SMS subscriber lists.
